Hi! I’m Julie and I like to stamp! I have been creating in some way, shape or form for as long as I can remember. Arts and Crafts have always been a big draw for me. There was a fabulous after-school art program at my elementary school where we did cool things like screen-printing, calligraphy, making books and making handmade paper. And I still have some of these projects as keepsakes from my childhood! When I was a teenager my adventures in scrapbooking started, and then I discovered the art of making cards over 20 year ago! I was introduced to Stampin’ Up! and quickly learned that the best way to experience their products was as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.
Have you ever walked into a craft store and been overwhelmed? I choose to be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator because they have quality stamps, accessories and tools. But the best thing about Stampin’ Up! is the amazing color coordination across all their products. This makes creating a project seamless when selecting the right ink, cardstock, patterned paper and embellishments. No overwhelm!
I have a generally clean style for my card-making and scrapbooking, which doesn’t always translate to quick and easy. I’m pretty picky on getting the details just right. But that’s the beauty of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. There are products that support all styles of crafting, from the beginner to the avid crafter. I do enjoy showing others how to make fun cards that fulfill a creative outlet and I can definitely switch to fast and simple cards when needed. Here are five interesting things about me:
- I trained for and ran the Nike Women’s Marathon in 2006. I didn’t workout for an entire year after that – not the smartest decision.
- I’m in two bowling leagues and have traveled with my friends to Las Vegas for the USBC Women’s National Championships (which anyone can enter.)
- I was in the Army and met my husband in Korea. As fate would have it we were both assigned to Fort Hood, TX after that which allowed us to continue our relationship.
- Each of my kids was born in a different state. No more moving for us!
- I do Door Dash for extra spending money. This covers my bowling league fees and playing BINGO once a week with my friends!
